On Thursday 19 June 2025, the civil administrators class of the National School of Administration, Journalism and Magistracy made a field visit to the Autonomous Port of Nouakchott (Friendship Port).
The trainees attended presentations on the port’s history, infrastructure, economic importance, organisational structure, sources of revenue and digitalisation systems.
They also received detailed explanations of the commercial management of this major economic facility, focusing on cargo registration, marketing and commercial challenges.
The visit is part of the School’s training programme and the new management’s drive to combine theoretical instruction with field training, in order to prepare competent officials able to contribute effectively to the country’s development.
